Bering Sea Storm – Hurricane Force Winds – Not a Tropical Cyclone?

  • The [link url=”https://amuedge.com/its-a-category-1-right/” title=”storm that battered“] the Aleutian Islands over the weekend had one of the [link url=”http://www.weather.com/news/weather/news/aleutian-storm-alaska-bering-sea-record” title=”lowest recorded pressures in the northern Pacific“], at 938.9 mb or 27.73 inches.  One report indicates that winds were [link url=”http://www.komonews.com/weather/blogs/scott/Massive-storm-blasts-Alaskas-Adak-Island-with-117-mph-winds-361705011.html” title=”gusting at 70 mph for approximately 18 hours, with gusts above 100 mph“] for at least 5 hours.

Kimberly Arsenault serves as an intern at the Cleveland/Bradley County Emergency Management Agency where she works on plan revisions and special projects. Previously, Kimberly spent 15 years in commercial and business aviation. Her positions included station manager at the former Midwest Express Airlines, as well as corporate flight attendant, inflight manager, and charter flight coordinator.
